Congratulations to the new managers in health care

The 5th edition of the Executive MBA studies in health care at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the Medical University of Warsaw has come to its end. The ceremony of the diploma award to graduates of this program was held on Saturday, November 23, in the Main Auditorium of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. They celebrated their success with their families, the authorities of both universities and invited guests.

The guests were welcomed by professor Piotr Wachowiak, Rector of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and professor Agnieszka Cudnoch-Jędrzejewska, Vice-Rector for clinical affairs and investments of the Medical University of Warsaw. While congratulating the graduates, professor Wachowiak emphasized the great importance of combining economic and medical knowledge for the health care system, while professor Agnieszka Cudnoch-Jędrzejewska drew attention to the essential role of management in medicine and the need for continuous improvement of managerial competences among medical professionals. Next, professor Maciej Słodkowski, director of the Postgraduate Education Center of the Medical University of Warsaw, emphasized that cooperation between universities plays an extremely important role in developing innovative educational programs.

A unique and inspiring graduation lecture was delivered by doctor Igor Radziewicz-Winnicki, President of PZU Zdrowie S.A. and long-time deputy minister of health. He emphasized that true allies are important in business, and building lasting relationships influences the success of the organization. He also shared his experiences in overcoming inevitable barriers in the development of any organization, emphasizing the role of the manager’s determination and innovation.

The graduates were also congratulated by the program managers: professor Monika Raulinajtys-Grzybek on the part of SGH Warsaw School of Economics and Artur Białoszewski on the part of the Medical University of Warsaw.

“We are extremely proud that such a large group of graduates leave the walls of our universities with knowledge and skills that will contribute to the development of the health care sector in Poland,” they emphasized. They also thanked the graduates for their commitment during classes and creating an inspiring learning atmosphere.

The ceremony ended with a commemorative group photo. The musical setting was provided by the Chor of the Medical University of Warsaw under the baton of Daniel Synowiec. The formal part of the ceremony was complemented by a networking meeting. It was an excellent opportunity to establish contacts between graduates of the current and previous editions of the studies, exchange experiences and discuss plans for the future.

Top-class managers

“The graduation ceremony is not only a summary of an intensive period of learning, but also the beginning of a new stage in the graduates’ careers,” said Artur Białoszewski. “Equipped with the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies, they are ready to face the challenges of modern health care and introduce innovative solutions in their organizations.”

“Working with students showing such a high level of commitment and experience is not only an obligation for us, but also a pleasure.
