The author of the project is professor Michał Grąt, vice rector for internationalization, promotion and development. Thanks to the funding, it will be possible to expand the scope of scholarship support for the best doctoral students from abroad, and increase the coverage of the subsidy program for short foreign internships and create a subsidy program for longer stays for doctoral students in order to attract foreign thesis advisors. The project also provides for development of international cooperation. It is planned to start cooperation with one of the most prestigious foreign scientific institutions in the field of medical sciences – Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minnesota, USA).
The project was prepared in cooperation with Anetta Pszczołowska’s team from the Project Support Office of the Medical University of Warsaw.
Financial resources under the STER NAWA program for “Internationalization of Doctoral Schools” were granted to 11 institutions. The total amount allocated for recruitment in 2024 was PLN 20 million.
