The Forum is a unique conference on a national scale, which allows students and young scientists interested in radiology to exchange knowledge and research experience, as well as to present - in front of an audience and experts - their first scientific works. The event is also a platform for networking among specialists in this field from all over Poland.
The conference is organized by the Student Scientific Circle X-RAY, whose chairman is Ignacy Sterlinski. SKN X-RAY operates at the 2nd Department of Clinical Radiology under the direction of Magdalena Januszewicz, MD, PhD.
During the event, participants were able to listen to a lecture by Prof. Andrzej Urbanik entitled "Alcohol Through the Eyes of a Radiologist," and got acquainted with the results of student papers, which were presented in two categories: original papers and case report papers.
The winner in the category of original works was the paper entitled "Comparison of the size of the corpus callosum between groups of men and women" by Gabriela Sołga, Julia Ślamczyk and Natalia Szawary from the University of Rzeszow. On the other hand, in the category of case report papers, the best paper was entitled "The case of a patient with a rare tumor mimicking pulmonary embolism - diagnostic difficulties" by Aleksandra Wojtery, Katarzyna Pali and Weronika Kobiałka from the University of Opole.
The forum concluded with an ultrasound workshops conducted in cooperation with SonoTeam, held in the new building of the Medical Simulation Center MUW.
