MUW among the “Universities of the Future”

The Medical University of Warsaw has signed a partnership agreement for the preparation and implementation of the “Universities of the Future” project. This means that together with 11 other Polish universities we are starting a new era in academic education.

The meeting at which the partnership agreement was signed took place on May 13 at the headquarters of the National Research and Development Center. The “Universities of the Future” project will implement an innovative educational model based on students' original projects and test new methods of cooperation between the university and the socio-economic environment.

What are the goals of the project

Among the goals of the project worth mentioning are:

  • developing the university's potential to educate in innovative ways so that students gain the most important competencies in the labor market,
  • expanding the university's educational offerings and adapting them to the needs of students interested in creating innovative solutions,
  • developing the competence of academic staff to identify students' competencies and their needs for mentoring support,
  • developing a new model of university-student-socio-economic cooperation in the educational process.

Who will implement it

In addition to the Medical University of Warsaw, the project will be implemented by 11 other Polish universities that, like MUW, have passed the recruitment procedure. These are: Gdansk University of Technology, University of Agriculture in Krakow, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, Poznan University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, Wroclaw University of Economics, Silesian University of Technology, University of Warsaw, Lodz University of Technology, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and University of Silesia.
