Young radiology enthusiasts in action at the 11th National Student Radiology Forum

For 11 years now, the National Student Radiology Forum has served as a platform for presenting scientific achievements, exchanging experiences, and fostering collaboration among students of medicine, radiology, medical physics, and related fields. This key national scientific conference for student radiology enthusiasts once again drew significant interest this year.

The 11th edition was held on 29 March at MUW’s Didactic Center. The conference began with a lecture titled “Point-of-Care in radiology”, given by Prof. Andrzej Urbanik, president of the Polradiologia Viva Foundation.
The event was organized by the X-RAY Student Scientific Club (SKN), which operates under MUW’s 2nd Department of Clinical Radiology, headed by Prof. Magdalena Januszewicz.

Speeches by young radiology enthusiasts

Student presentations of original papers and case reports are a recurring highlight of the conference. This year, 17 high-quality papers were presented.
Attractive prizes awaited the winners in both categories! In the category of original papers, the winner was Julian Radoń, who secured a grant to attend the 2026 European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna, funded by the Polradiologia Viva Foundation. In the medical case category, 1st place went to Aleksandra Nowakowska, who received a voucher for a course from the Roztoczanska School of Ultrasound. The full list of winners is available on the conference website

Record number of workshops

- This year’s participants had the opportunity to attend a record number of workshops on ultrasound and interventional radiology, organized in collaboration with our sponsors and partners, says Zuzanna Wojtczak, president of SKN X-RAY.

These included hands-on workshops in diagnostic and interventional radiology, including simulated endovascular procedures, organized in collaboration with Back 2 Function, REAGO TRAINING, Terumo, GE Healthcare, TMS and Mindray. They enabled the practical application of knowledge and supported the development of competences and new skills.

The next edition of the event is planned for next year.

This year’s edition was held under the patronage of the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw, the Marshal of the Masovian Voivodeship, the CIRSE Student Program, the Polish Medical Society of Radiology, the Roztoczanska School of Ultrasound, the Polradiologia Viva Foundation, the Polish Society of Ultrasound, the Polish Radiology Association. A full list of sponsors and partners is available on the conference website.
