Rally through the campus to the finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity

On Friday, in the parking lot in front of the Children’s Clinical Hospital of the Medical University of Warsaw, rally driver Kajetan Kajetanowicz showed his skills especially for children from the hematology and oncology department and other young patients. Children watched the famous “doughnuts” from the hospital windows. And all this in connection with Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.

Kajetan Kajetanowicz, the most successful Polish rally driver who finished the World Rally Championship season on the podium for the sixth time in a row, appeared at the campus at Banach Street with the youngest in mind. He made two demonstrations for patients of the children’s hospital with his car in which he raced a day later at the Barbórka Rally in Warsaw. Children could watch his exploits from the hospital windows.

After a series of spinning “doughnuts” in the university’s parking lot cleared for this purpose, the racer visited children in the Clinic of Oncology, Pediatric Hematology, Clinical Transplantology and Pediatrics of the Medical University of Warsaw. Earlier, together with the head of the clinical department, professor habilitated doctor Paweł Łaguna, he met with the media, where they both encouraged the public to join the collection of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. This year, the Orchestra plays for pediatric oncology and hematology patients, and the leitmotif of its 33rd Finale is safety and health of children.

The Medical University of Warsaw also joins the collection for the Orchestra this year by staging auctions and collecting money into piggy banks and, above all, by setting up the Orchestra’s HQ at the Sports and Rehabilitation Center of the MUW at Trojdena Street on January 26. There will be many sports and other attractions there that day. You are all invited!
