Two new fields of study at the Center for Postgraduate Education MUW

The Innovations in Medicine and Health Care (IMiOZ) as well as MBA in Clinical Research Management and Biomedical Innovation (MBA-ZBK) are two educational offerings for graduates working in the biomedical sector. The new fields of study are free for students!

The new fields of study will be implemented within the framework of the project titled “Development of postgraduate education at MUW in the face of a shortage of health ecosystem personnel with special emphasis on clinical research management and biomedical innovation REPIB+,” funded by the Medical Research Agency.

Innovations in Medicine and Healthcare

The Innovations in Medicine and Healthcare (IMiOZ) program is aimed at professionals who work in the biomedical as well as healthcare sectors and want to expand their competence in innovative research methods or the implementation of new technologies. The study will provide analytical skills related to the innovation process and knowledge of innovation management, it will also help in understanding legal regulations.

The study includes two semesters with 160 hours of theoretical and practical classes delivered in classroom, hybrid and online formats. Completion of the study requires 80% attendance, passing the exams after completing the three modules as well as writing and defending the final thesis. Learning outcomes will be verified by passing module tests as well as assessing the final thesis and its defense.

MBA in Clinical Research Management and Biomedical Innovation

The MBA in Clinical Research Management and Biomedical Innovation (MBA-ZBK) is a field of study for graduates working in the biomedical sector who want to expand their managerial and business competencies. This program focuses on key areas such as clinical research management, law and ethics, innovation in biomedicine, as well as aspects of scientific management and leadership. Participants will gain knowledge in entrepreneurship and commercialization, analytics and big data, as well as learn how to communicate and collaborate effectively in the international arena.

The study structure includes 350 didactic hours (lectures, workshops and e-learning) spread over three semesters.

Recruitment for new fields of study

Recruitment will be launched on August 21, 2024 at 10:00 am. The closing date is scheduled for September 1, 2024, but if the number of candidates exceeds 100 applications for a particular edition of the study, CPE MUW reserves the right to shorten the deadlines.

No fees, but responsibly

The postgraduate MBA in Clinical Research Management and Biomedical Innovation and Innovations in Medicine and Health Care are free for students. The cost of attending the studies is covered by the Medical Research Agency's project funds. However, in the event of cancellation or removal from the list of students, the person will be required to cover the cost of participation.
