Distinction for the Student Research Club of Gynecological Endoscopy
The distinction was accepted by Dr. Łucja Zaborowska, the club’s academic supervisor, together with its members Julia Janowska and Małgorzata Michalska.
“We believe that endoscopy is both the present and the future of medicine. We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to put our skills into practice and continue refining them,” said Małgorzata Michalska during the gala.
The club began its activity in the 2024—2025 academic year at the First Department and Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology of WUM. Its goal is to develop laparoscopic skills among medical students. In the past academic year, it organized six sessions using laparoscopic trainers, during which students practiced not only operating the laparoscope but also laparoscopic suturing. It also led workshops at the 20th WIMC, and the culmination of the year’s activities was a hands-on workshop in suturing and surgical knot tying under the expert supervision of specialists.
The initiator of the club and its second academic supervisor is Professor Artur Ludwin, head of the First Department and Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology of WUM.
