On May 29, 2024, Dr. Marcin Podgórski of the Department of Emergency Medical Sciences of the Faculty of Health Sciences MUW was appointed a director of the Polish Medical Air Rescue.
Dr. Marcin Podgórski has been a paramedic associated with the Polish Medical Air Rescue for almost 20 years. Since 2012, he served as a deputy director for emergency medical services, organization and planning at LPR. He also served as the governor's plenipotentiary for emergency medical services.
Dr. Marcin Podgórski is an active instructor of ACLS, PALS, TCCC, PHTLS. He has many years of practical experience in both emergency medical teams, intensive care units and multi-organ trauma center. For many years, he has been imparting knowledge to emergency medical and nursing students at universities, including, as of 2018, at our university's Department of Emergency Medical Sciences.
