Our researcher is working on atrial fibrillation, the most common persistent heart rhythm disorder. Her postdoctoral work focuses on building an infrastructure for remote monitoring of patients and their risk factors for atrial fibrillation. Her past accomplishments have been rewarded with awards including a scholarship from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for Outstanding Young Scientists, a scholarship from the L'Oréal-UNESCO Women in Science program, and a Golden OTISA statuette in the "Scientific Debuts" category.
The START Program of the Foundation for Polish Science is the oldest scholarship program in Poland for the best young scientists representing all fields of science. Its purpose is to support outstanding young scholars and encourage their further scientific development. The winners of the START program in the 2023 edition will receive an annual stipend of PLN 30,000. They can use it for any purpose.
The call for applications for the next competition will begin this fall. Young scientists up to the age of 30 can apply for the scholarship (or older, if they take advantage of the statutory extension options). Candidates' achievements - documented by patents or publications in recognized Polish and foreign scientific periodicals - are evaluated by scholars who are authorities in their fields.
