The finale of an important project implemented by the Medical University of Warsaw

The project entitled “Building trust in vaccinations using the latest communication and social influence tools” has been completed. It was implemented from 2021 by a consortium of four universities. The Medical University of Warsaw was responsible for analyzing Poles’ attitude towards vaccinations, among other things. The culmination of work on the project was a workshop summarizing the 3-year activities of our university’s team.

It was a very large and socially important project. In addition to our university, the following also participated in its implementation: the Medical Center for Postgraduate Education, the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Kozmiński University.

The role of the Medical University of Warsaw in the project

The Medical University of Warsaw was responsible, among other things, for analyzing the attitude of Polish residents towards vaccinations and creating educational tools addressed to children and adolescents, as well as adults. The project also developed recommendations for primary health care providers regarding vaccinations and communication in this area, as well as guidelines for local government units regarding preventive programs including vaccinations. Some materials, including comics, guides and lesson plans for schools can be found here.

The project involved the Department of Environmental Hazard Prevention of Allergology and Immunology (headed by Prof. Bolesław Samoliński) and the Department of Public Health (under Prof. Mariusz Gujski). The project manager at the Medical University of Warsaw was Dr. (hab.) Filip Raciborski, and the work was handled by Dr. Aneta Tomaszewska and Dr. Paulina Mularczyk-Tomczewska.
