On-line Application for winter semester 2021/22 is closed.
You will be able to apply for summer semester 2021/22 between 25th October and 25th November 2021
Dear Students, Dear Partners,
We are happy to inform you that the Medical University of Warsaw welcomes applications for student exchange for the winter semester and whole academic year 2021/22. For students applying for summer semester a new call will be announced.
We truly hope that the exchanges can be carried out safely, however due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the situation may change rapidly.
In order to obey all safety restrictions we might not be able to offer exchange students the possibility to do practical classes within some courses and it may occur that exchange students will only be able to attend lectures and seminars.
Most likely the seminars and lectures will be held in hybrid system, therefore we require all exchange students to be in Warsaw at the beginning of the winter term 2021/22.
IMPORTANT: There is a restricted number of places in each course in English and the order of application will be the criterion taken into account when assigning places in particular courses. The rule "first come, first served" will be applied.
We have noticed a problem with sending emails to HOTMAIL domain. The MUW server has no influence on the issue. For proper communication with the International Relations Office we encourage you to use another email domain!

Description of the application procedure
The obligatory ON-LINE APPLICATION consists of:
- Application form - the same for all faculties, integrated with application for the dormitory
- Online Learning Agreement (OLA), which should be filled by students of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Midwifery, Electoradiology, Public Health, Dietetics and Physiotherapy
- Students of Pharmacy should complete the Learning Agreement for Pharmacy , where they choose the title of a research project from the list proposed by the Faculty
- preparation of the individual course timetable - medical students (after being accepted).
Since we are obliged to switch to Erasmus Without Paper soon, we have decided to introduce the Online Learning Agreement supported by the EU instead of our internal application for courses used in the past years. To complete it you need to create and account on the OLA website , fill the form with the relevant data (you will find the details of the MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW below), sign and send to your coordinator for acceptance. See the curriculum of each faculty to select the courses (details below).
If you are a student of PHARMACY you only need to fill: Application form and Learning Agreement for Pharmacy

Before completing the application, please read the following information carefully.
It is obligatory for all exchange students (Erasmus, CEEPUS, bilateral agreement, freemover) to register by filling in the online application.
Please note that only students who have been nominated by the home university can apply through the online application!
Medicine
There is a 6-year-medical programme conducted in English. Before completing the OLA make sure you got acquainted with the programme of study given on the university web page. You can mix courses of different years,as they are conducted in blocks (e.g. 2 weeks of Surgery, 3 weeks of Neurology, etc.).
Dentistry
There is a 5-year-programme of dentistry in English. Make sure to check the study plan of the faculty before completing the OLA. You should not mix courses of different years as they are conducted according to a weekly plan (the same sequence of courses every week) and mixing years would cause overlaps.
The programmes of study taught in English in some common parts are also accessible for exchange students of pharmacy and physiotherapy, if needed. Moreover, courses can be chosen from different years of study. Although only courses that exist in the semester of the planned exchange can be chosen. Therefore, Winter semester students are not allowed to take courses held in the Full Academic Year or in the Summer semester.
Since students of the exchange programmes join the already existing groups of students, the number of available places per course is limited.
The study offer is based on the program of the previous academic year. Therefore, your individual study plan will be defined at the beginning of semester, as soon as new timetables are available. Courses can be chosen from different years of study but only from the semester you want to enroll.
NOTE: If you are applying only for one semester, you cannot choose courses that last for the whole year (i.e. Pathomorphology, Microbiology, Pharmacology)
NOTE: To receive full credit and a grade, students are obliged to fulfill the requirements (including final exams) stated in the Rules of Studies of the Medical University of Warsaw. Rules of Studies - an extract
NOTE: Due to the clinics commitment in the didactic process, clerkships/clinical rotations/traineeships are impossible during the whole academic year.
NOTE: In addition to the Learning Agreeemnt, after being accepted, each exchange student creates his/her individual timetable where selects courses again. It is the 3rd step of the application. The individual timetable of the medical students is prepared according to the English Division timetables which are sent to the exchange students by email before beginning of the semester. Some modifications of the learning agreement caused by overlaps, unavailability of courses etc. may be required. In this case the student has to consult the coordinator of home university regarding necessary Changes to Learning Agreement. The final approval of the plan of study is made based on acceptance/refusal of the department responsible for teaching.
Pharmacy
Since there is no English Programme of Pharmacy at MUW, all courses are conducted in Polish only.
The Faculty of Pharmacy offers research projects in English to exchange students. When applying for your project, choose the topic from the list in the on-line Learning Agreement! You can also check the description of each project.
Students accepted for research projects have their individual supervisors and work on the project in an English-speaking research team. They prepare their Master Thesis based on the research conducted.

In addition to the online Learning Agreeemnt, each exchange student creates his/her individual timetable where selects courses again. The individual course timetables are prepared according to the English Division timetables which are sent to the exchange students by email before beginning of the semester. The indiv. timetable is a basic tool to apply for particular courses at the departments responsible for teaching. Therefore, proposed study program is provisionally approved before arrival in Warsaw as there are possible modifications of the learning agreement caused by overlaps, unavailability of courses etc. In this case the studnet has to consult the coordinator of home university about necessary Changes to Learning Agreement.
