Our scientists have just received the Minister of Health Awards for 2022. The diplomas were presented by Piotr Bromber, Undersecretary of State.
The honorees were
- Prof. Magdalena Kucia, head of the Laboratory of Regenerative Medicine MUW, for scientific achievements in the areas of hematopoietic stem cells and vascular endothelial cells;
- Prof. Tomasz Wolańczyk, head of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry UCC MUW for authoring the textbook "Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Vol. 1 and 2" (together with Prof. Małgorzata Janas-Kozik of the Silesian Medical University);
- from the Department of Immunology, Transplant Medicine and Internal Diseases UCC MUW: Prof. Leszek Pączek, head of the department, Prof. Krzysztof Mucha, Prof. Bartosz Foroncewicz and Radosław Zagożdżon, MD, PhD, head of the Department of Clinical Immunology MUW, for a patent on methods of diagnosis, differentiation and monitoring using selected urine proteins as markers in IgA nephropathy;
- Prof. Piotr Milkiewicz for his achievements for the development of the center of the Medical University of Warsaw as a reference center included in the European Reference Centers for rare diseases;
Additionally, Prof. Leszek Pączek, on the Health Minister's own initiative, was awarded a lifetime achievement award.
