"The World's Longest Marathon" is a charity run of support and gratitude to the heroes who are bringing the victory of Ukraine closer. The run is held in many places around the world, including in Warsaw. On Sunday, October 29, on the premises of the J. Kusociński High School No. 59 in Warsaw, in tribute to Ukrainian defenders, doctors, rescuers, volunteers, the runners included, among others, Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, Rector of MUW, Prof. Robert Galązkowski, Head of the Emergency Department MUW, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Director of the Polish Medical Air Rescue, as well as Mikołaj Granowski, Secretary of the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland.
"The World's Longest Marathon" was initiated by the Ukrainian operator "Nova Poshta" with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine as an expression of thanks to all those who defend Ukraine's freedom since 2014. Any marathon participant can express gratitude to Ukraine's heroes by putting their names on the starting number and covering the distance anywhere in the world.
The Warsaw Run was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland with the support of Prof. Robert Gałązkowski, Director of the Polish Medical Air Rescue, and Grzegorz Pietruczuk, Mayor of the Bielany District.
