An official meeting with Professor Yuichi Hori, head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Toho University Omori Medical Center, Toho University School of Medicine in Tokyo, took place on 9th of December 2019, in the headquarters of our University. Professor Hori was accompanied by representatives of Senju Pharmaceutical: Kazudo Masuda - Pharmaceutical Director of Foreign Business Division, Masashi Kosaka - Manager of Pharmaceutical Group, Akira Ahn - Executive Director, Jerzy Woszczyna - Sales and Marketing Manager and Hikaru Kuga - Deputy Pharmaceutical Director. They were greeted by prof. Lidia Rudnicka – MUW’s Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Development and Promotion.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the university Department of Ophthalmology, International Relations Offic and PhD and master degree students.
In 2017 both universities signed the Memorandum of Cooperation, which made it possible for our master degree and doctoral students to take part in the internships in Japan and Japanese students at the MUW. The Monday visit opens up new perspectives for cooperation between the Universities. Both institutions intent to continue exchanging program but also plan to develop scientific cooperation, including exchanging experience and joint scientific projects, research programmes, publishing of scientific results, participating in conferences and symposia related to education.
