For the first time in the history of Medical University Warsaw, international students enrolled in the 6-year medical program of the Faculty of Medicine English Division celebrated Christmas in the homes of the University’s academic community. Staff were invited to host an international student who was spending Christmas in Warsaw. The response was wonderful! The Medical University of Warsaw’s teachers showed what big hearts they have.
“Spend Christmas with EDek – invite an English Division student to your home for Christmas!” which was initiated and supported by Rector, Prof. Mirosław Wielgoś, Deputy Rectors Prof. Barbara Górnicka and Prof. Lidia Rudnicka, Prof. Marcin Wojnar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Prof. Marek Postuła, Deputy Dean for the English Division of the Faculty of Medicine met with great interest. More families signed up than students and, in the end, eight University families hosted nine international students from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Singapore.
The next edition of “Spend Christmas with EDek!” will be launched in spring 2020.
