Prof. Postuła thanked the mentors for wanting to share their time and expertise with students from the English Division, and congratulated the students on applying to the program. He emphasized that the goal of the “MUWing Science” mentorship program is not only to provide English Division students with an opportunity to gain clinical and research experience but also, and foremost, to give them the chance to learn and grow as individuals under the guidance of mature and accomplished scientists and teachers.
Twenty nine professors, doctors and teachers of Medical University of Warsaw have declared their commitment as mentors for the program. The mentors represent a range of disciplines: biochemistry, cardiology, health psychology, immunology, neonatology, pediatrics, to name some of them. They said that the letters were very beautiful and moving, and that picking out amongst them was very difficult. Cardiac surgery was the most popular choice amongst the students and Dr. Radosław Wilimski expressed his deep regret that he couldn’t accept everyone.During the official launching, the mentors also spoke about the projects they plan to realize with their mentees.
