Information for students travelling from East Asia and South-East Asia
Over the past weeks, multiple cases of respiratory illness in countries of East-Asia and South-East Asia (China, Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, China Taiwan) were reported, accompanied with signs and symptoms of fever above 38 ֯C, cough, and difficulty breathing.
In case you present with those symptoms, please visit a hospital immediately, so that an adequate medical treatment can be provided.
Please familiarise yourselves with information on basic protective measures against the coronavirus introduced by the WHO and recommendations of experts in the field of infection regarding basic principles of prevention:

Avoid close contact with people who have fever and cough,

Wash your hands as often as possible, preferably using soap and water or clean your hands with alcohol-containing disinfectants,

When coughing or sneezing cover your mouth with a handkerchief or flexed elbow - throw away the handkerchief immediately and wash your hands,

If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, go see a doctor, tell him about any distant journeys you have had before,

Avoid close contact with live animals while in areas where new coronavirus infection has been reported,

Avoid the consumption of raw or undercooked meat and milk, as well as take care of the hygiene of places where raw meat or offal is used,

If traveling to Asia, avoid close contact with sick people, especially those with respiratory symptoms; avoid visiting bazaars or other places with live or dead animals and birds; avoid contact with animals, their excreta or droppings and observe the rules of hand hygiene.
