CBL training for academic teachers of our University

On February 12 in the Library and Information Centre began a three-day workshop for MUW academic teachers with a teaching method called Case-Based Learning (CBL). The training is carried out by specialists in the education of the teaching staff of medical studies - Professor Sabine Gerhke-Beck and Professor Harm Peters from Charité – Berlin University of Medicine.

During CBL classes, the teacher engages students in scenarios based on real medical cases. Participants  jointly seek relevant information from among those available and make appropriate decisions on this basis related to the hypothetical treatment of the patient concerned.
The trainers at this time guard the organization and manage the group. The CBL method improves the ability to search for the data you need to define the problem.  It develops team-working skills and also encourages you to update the knowledge during treatment by consultations with other specialists.

The training was organized by the Office for Quality and Innovation in Teaching of MUW  and funded under the MUW AID program Academy of Innovative Didactics.
