This year's ranking included 4000 universities of which 56 were form Poland. The methodology of URAP is based on bibliometric databases which include the number and quality of scientific publications, also the international scientific cooperation is taken into account. The evaluation is done without the participation of the ranked universities.
Out of 56 Polish universities included in the ranking, the highest place was taken by the Jagiellonian University (323). The following places were taken by: Warsaw University (393), AGH University of Science and Technology (606), Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (647), Warsaw University of Technology (658), Wroclaw University of Technology (786). In the top ten, after the Medical University of Warsaw (815), the Medical University of Wroclaw (820), the University of Wroclaw (875), Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (877), the Medical University of Lodz (930), the Medical University of Gdansk (949), Gdansk University of Technology (964) and the University of Silesia (988) were classified.
At the top of the ranking were: Harvard University, University of Toronto, Stanford University.
