The conference was designed to integrate the academic community with the members of interdisciplinary health care facility teams. The event, bringing together specialists from various fields, provided a platform for the exchange of views, was also an excellent opportunity to present research results in areas related to the subject matter of the conference.
The program of the event consisted of 4 Thematic Sessions, a Multimedia Poster Session, and a Session for Students, Student Scientific Societies and Doctoral Students. The Plenary Session addressed the challenges faced by interdisciplinary health care teams due to advances in medicine. The topics discussed included alternative forms of therapeutic communication from the physiotherapist's perspective and the issue of modifying the criminal liability of medical personnel in the COVID era.
Session I focused on population health behaviors - research and practice in this area. The speakers discussed issues such as infodemic and fake news in the COVID era, the course of social media discourse on immunizations, and the problem of health care workers safety.
The theme of Session II was the chronically ill patient and the elderly as a new challenge for professionals and caregivers. In this part of the meeting, issues such as loneliness and depression among Polish seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact of health status on the quality of life of elderly women, self-assessment of health behavior of elderly men, were discussed.
The keynote of the Poster Session was "practice development in nursing and the standards of practice during epidemic emergency."
The honorary patrons of the event were: Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong - Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw, Mariusz Gujski, MD, PhD - Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Bolesław Samoliński - Chairman of the Scientific Discipline Council, Prof. Michał Grąt - Director of the Doctoral School, and on behalf of the Medical University of Lublin - Mariusz Wysokiński, MD, PhD - Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
