Four projects implemented by students of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Warsaw will receive funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education under the initiative "The best of the best! 4.0."
The funds will go to:
- Mateusz Kawka for the project "Personalized titanium implants for the reconstruction of the stomatognathic system" (33 000.00 PLN)
- Piotr Woźnicki for the project "Application of artificial intelligence methods for automatic assessment of disease progression on magnetic resonance imaging in patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD)” (23 776.20 PLN);
- Marcin Kleibert, Daniel Bałut, Patrycja Bąk, for the project "Diabetes and its complications as a challenge for the health care system. The impact of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic on metabolic control of the disease and the potential of telemedicine to improve metabolic parameters and quality of life in diabetes patients" (120 000.00 PLN);
- Olga Płaza, Izabela Walasik, Maria Falis, Katarzyna Kwiatkowska, Sebastian Szewczyk, for the project entitled "Interdisciplinary approach to gynecological-obstetric issues in the eyes of students of Polish medical universities" (6 450.00 PLN).
The aim of the project "The best of the best! 4.0" implemented from the funds of the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development, co-financed by the European Social Fund is to support exceptionally gifted students in the development of their activity. In the last edition of the competition, 82 projects received financial assistance for a total amount of 7 405 303.96 PLN.
