Classes planned by the Faculty of Health Sciences as part of the XXV Science Festival 2021, whose theme is "We Vaccinate with Science"
Festival classes:
1. Do you know your breasts? - M. Jaciubek, M. Kotomska, Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, September 21, 9 am,
The purpose of the meeting is to raise women’s awareness about the structure of the mammary glands, and the prevention of breast disease.
2. Gynecological and oncological problems - prevention of neoplastic diseases of the female reproductive system - M. Rabiej, A. Nowacka, W. Szymanek, W. Tomporowska, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Didactics, September 24, 8 am,
Gynecological and oncological problems and cancer prevention of the reproductive system (cytology, mammography). We will discuss the importance of ultrasound and visits to the gynecologist in early diagnosis.
3. Preconceptional care and the role of the midwife in primary care - M. Rabiej, A. Nowacka, K. Cisek Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Didactics, September 23, 8 am,
During the lecture we want to familiarize the participants with the role and tasks of the primary care midwife.
4. Colorful microorganisms - S. Jarzynka, Department of Medical Biology September 24, 12am,
During this class, participants will stain microorganisms cells and observe them under a microscope.
Classes for adults:
1. A bird's eye view - meta-analysis as a source of scientific evidence in medicine - M. Panczyk, Department of Education and Research in Health Sciences Faculty of Health Sciences September 22 at 4pm,
The meeting will present the development of the concept of secondary research, the history of meta-analysis and the general principles of preparing and interpreting its results using numerous examples
2. Diabetes in the family. Together we can do more. - E. Kobos, Z. Sienkiewicz , A. Szewczyk, S. Konarska, Department of Nursing Development, Social and Medical Sciences in cooperation with the Polish Federation of Education in Diabetology September 24, 5pm,
Classes for patients with diabetes and their families on dealing with the day-to-day problems associated with diabetes in the family.
3. From Olszewski to the present day - the Polish history of parkinsonism - P. Alster, Department of Neurology, September 25, 3 pm,
The subject of the classes will be the presentation of knowledge about parkinsonism in a popular scientific way, sensitizing the participants to the development of knowledge in this area and the directions of potential research in the future
