Joanna Niewińska, Piotr Nawrocki and Joanna Śmida won in 3 competitions organized within the 5th Congress of the Polish Society of Pharmacy Students which took place in Lublin. The evaluation of the competition works took into account the originality and innovation of the topic, the scope of research, the presentation, the ability to discuss and the aesthetics of the work, as well as taste.
The Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the MUW, members of the Warsaw branch of the Polish Society of Pharmacy Students (PTSF), were awarded in the following categories:
- Joanna Niewinska won the Research Paper Competition by presenting the results of a study on the role of angiotensin ll (AT2) in regulating alternative splicing which she conducted at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense as part of the Erasmus + program.
- Piotr Nawrocki was the winner of the Poster Session, during which he presented the results of his thesis on the use of molecular modeling methods to study the polymorphic transformation of aripiprazole. The work was performed in the Department of Physical Chemistry, MUW.
- Joanna Śmida won the first place in the Student Liquor Competition
The theme of the congress was the role of the pharmacist in oncology patient care. The event, organized by the branch of the Polish Society of Pharmacy Students (PTSF) at the Medical University of Lublin, had a nationwide character.
