Andrzej Ochal from the Department of Rehabilitation of the MUW was awarded high state distinctions for his activity for the benefit of Polish sport. As a coach of the National Team of Disabled People of the Polish Table Tennis Federation he contributed to the success of Polish athletes, who brought home 7 medals from the Paralympic Games: 2 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze, thus taking 4th place in the medal classification.
President Andrzej Duda solemnly awarded the Paralympic athletes participating in this year's Summer Games in Tokyo and their coaching staff. Andrzej Ochal received from the hands of the President the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta "for the outstanding contribution to the development of sport of disabled people, for the achievements in training and coaching."
The Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport awarded our employee with the badge of distinction "For Sport Merit,” recognizing him for his special activity and outstanding achievements in sports activities.
