NCN grants awarded. Our researchers will receive funding for life science projects

The National Centre of Science received over 4,500 applications for co-financing within the framework of OPUS and PRELUDIUM competitions. After formal and content-related evaluation, 912 projects were qualified for financing. Among them, 13 were prepared by researchers from the Medical University of Warsaw. Support will also be given to two projects in which our university is a consortium member.

Funding in the OPUS competition will also be provided for two projects in which the Medical University of Warsaw is a consortium member.
Together with the Institute of Human Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (leader) and the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań, our university will participate in a project led by Prof. Marzena Gajęcka „Dostępność chromatyny oraz warianty sekwencji w elementach regulatorowych w badaniach całogenomowych w patogenezie stożka rogówki. The second project - „Przeprogramowanie epigenetyczne i kwas all-trans-retinowy w terapii zespołów mielodysplastycznych” was carried out within a consortium led by Professor Artur Zelent from the Animal Genetics and Biotechnology Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
