The Minister of Health has appointed the composition of the National Accreditation Council for Schools of Nursing and Midwifery for 2021-2025. The newly appointed members include Dr. Zofia Sienkiewicz from the Department of Nursing Development, Social and Medical Sciences, MUW, and Dr. Edyta Krzych-Fałta from the Department of Basic Nursing, MUW. The Council's primary task is to assess whether a university seeking accreditation for nursing or midwifery studies meets the educational standards defined in the regulations. On this basis, the Minister of Health makes a decision on accreditation.
NACSN&M also visits institutions and checks their educational results to ensure that the schools meet the educational standards as well as applies to the Minister of Health for accreditation or its withdrawal if the institution does not comply with the requirements.
