The new wing is the result of the second phase of renovation and expansion of the more than 100-year-old department’s building, which aimed to create a state-of-the-art electrophysiology laboratory. Here, the diagnosis of heart rhythm disorders, advanced ablation procedures, and implantation of a full range of implantable devices are performed. The expansion also included an increase in the number of beds in the department and upgrades to other labs.
The investment was made within the project implemented since 2014 "Specialized Cardiology at the Infant Jesus Clinical Hospital in Warsaw as a response to the health needs of the population." It was possible thanks to funds obtained from the European Regional Development Fund, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Health, as well as thanks to the support of the University Clinical Center and the Medical University of Warsaw.
