The Student Nobel Prize is an annual competition, the aim of which is to find the best students and reward them for their outstanding achievements. The awards are given in nine fields: technical sciences, arts, journalism and literature, life sciences and energy, physics and astronomy, medicine and pharmacy, social sciences, economic sciences, social activities. At this stage, all finalists in each category prepare presentations. They will be evaluated by the experts. The winners will receive a prize - 5 thousand zlotys. Additionally, trips abroad and in-kind prizes were funded.
Tomasz Grzywa has already received many scientific awards and honors. He is a 5th year student of the Faculty of Medicine. In his fourth year, he began his doctoral studies. He has now completed his training in the Doctoral School and submitted his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medicine and Health Sciences in January this year. He works in the Department of Immunology of Prof. Jakub Gołąb and Laboratory of Experimental Medicine of Prof. Dominika Nowis. His passion is immunology.
The other finalist from our university is interested in cardiology, orthopedics, and the effects of physical activity on health. His interests also include clinical trials, particularly in cardiovascular and lipid disorders.
The Student Nobel Prize competition is organized by the Independent Students' Association in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science and Santander Bank. The finals will be held in the first half of June during the gala event. We keep our fingers crossed for our students.
