On May 18, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, gave nominations to academic teachers and employees of science and arts. The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace. Among the 56 nominees was Professor of Medical and Health Sciences Michal Grąt from the Department of General, Transplantation and Liver Surgery at UCC MUW, director of the Doctoral School at MUW.
The President of the Republic of Poland confers professorships on the basis of a proposal from the Council for Scientific Excellence. The decision is made in the form of a resolution, previously countersigned by the Prime Minister. Individual acts conferring the title on professors are received from the hands of the President.
