The Museum of the History of Medicine of the MUW, invites to the next meeting of the series "In the circle of the history of medicine" entitled. "Maria Skłodowska-Curie. On the 90th anniversary of the opening of the Radium Institute in Warsaw". This wish came true ninety years ago. The Radium Institute in Warsaw was established as a gift - a tribute to Maria Skłodowska-Curie, built largely with community contributions. Its opening took place on Sunday, May 29, 1932. On this occasion, the ninetieth anniversary of the opening of an extremely important and close to Maria Skłodowska-Curie scientific-research facility, it is worth reminding the history of the creation of the Radium Institute in Warsaw.
The lecture will be given by Tomasz Pospieszny - Professor of Adam Mickiewicz University, PhD in chemical sciences. He works at the Department of Bioactive Products at the Faculty of Chemistry of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where he deals with the chemistry of natural products. He admires the life, work and contribution of women in creating science.
