Since the day the war in Ukraine began, the WUM community has been involved in various aid campaigns. One of them was a collection of gifts, organised together with Sława and Izek Wołosiański Humanosh Foundation, which has many years of experience in helping refugees.
The volunteers - students of our University - collected mattresses, sleeping bags, quilts, blankets, pillows, towels, things for children aged 5-15, food, personal hygiene products, paper towels, candles, batteries and lighters, first aid kits, thermos flasks, flashlights, over-the-counter painkillers and antipyretics, bandages, disinfectants.
Items could be brought to the WUM Didactic Center and Sports and Rehabilitation Center. The response to the collection among our students and employees was enormous - every day for several dozen days a car full of needed items left from the WUM to the Foundation.
