The award winners are: Dr Elżbieta Niemczyk-Cieślak, Dr Agnieszka Jasińska-Nowacka and Dr Tomasz Wojciechowski. The award is given by the Polish Society of Otorhinolaryngologists, Head and Neck Surgeons. It is awarded to authors of the best original papers in the field of otorhinolaryngology.
- Dr Elżbieta Niemczyk-Cieślak from the Department of Pediatric Otolaryngology of the UCC MUW received the award for her doctoral dissertation entitled "Evaluation of usefulness of wideband tympanometry in monitoring middle ear function after stapedectomy";
- Dr. Agnieszka Jasińska-Nowacka from the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, UCC MUW, was awarded for her doctoral dissertation entitled "Correlation of audiological and otoneurological examinations and clinical picture with the advancement of endolymphatic hydrops on magnetic resonance imaging in patients with Ménière's disease";
- Dr. Tomasz Wojciechowski from the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of the Medical University of Warsaw and the Department of Descriptive and Clinical Anatomy, was awarded for his doctoral dissertation entitled "Analysis of the anatomy of the retrotympanum and its vicinity in cone beam computed tomography images"
The awards ceremony took place in Wrocław, during the 50th Jubilee Congress of the Polish Society of Otorhinolaryngologists, Head and Neck Surgeons. The congress was held on May 18-21 in Wrocław.
