The just-completed edition of the Executive SGH-WUM MBA in Healthcare was addressed to the management of medical entities that are subordinate or supervised by the Ministry of Health, including teaching hospitals as well as executives in public administration related to healthcare. The study was carried out according to an original program prepared by the experienced practitioners and top academics of both universities.
The event was attended not only by the graduates, lecturers, management and authorities of both universities, but also the relatives and colleagues of the graduates. The ceremony was opened by the rectors of the two universities, followed by a speech by Prof. Maciej Słodkowski, director of the Center for Postgraduate Education MUW. The ceremony was also attended by Anna Orlowska, director of the Administrative Office of the Ministry of Health, who read out a congratulatory letter from Adam Niedzielski, Minister of Health. In the letter, the minister wrote, among other things, "I am grateful to the university rectors for organizing studies at a very high level. The universities you oversee pride themselves on high-quality education, which was not insignificant when starting our cooperation. Graduates of the Medical University of Warsaw and the Warsaw School of Economics are valued employees, and the knowledge gained from their studies is impressive."
The best student of these studies was Susanna Rohn. The best lecturers of the program were also honored. They were: Rafał Mrówka, Justyna Król-Całkowska, Piotr Wachowiak, Paweł Wyrozębski, and partners supporting the program with study visits: prof. Henryk Skarżyński, director of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing and the World Hearing Center in Kajetany, Michal Kuczmaszewski, president of St. Elizabeth's Hospital, and director Anna Orłowska, project manager on the part of the Ministry of Health.
Prof. Henryk Skarzynski, at the invitation of the organizers of the ceremony, gave a short lecture in which he explained the secrets of the success of the leader and founder of the World Hearing Center and showed how important it is when creating an organization in the health sector to take into account the health needs of the patient and develop an innovative way to meet them.
Artur Bialoszewski, program manager from the MUW, summing up the completed edition of the study said - This type of study is not about locking adult people back inside the university walls. The idea is to inspire them to develop and implement breakthrough changes in their workplaces. All prepared diploma projects are suitable for immediate implementation and will allow for real improvements in how the healthcare system in Poland functions. We are very happy about this, because it shows that we have achieved our goal. Prof. Monika Raulinajtys-Grzybek, program manager from the SGH side, added: - Executive MBA education is about developing managerial competence, developing the ability to make the right decisions based on complex data, under conditions of uncertainty and in a turbulent environment. Today, such skills are needed by every manager, especially managers operating in the health sector.
