More than PLN 200 thousand will go to MUW under the "Teaching Excellence of Universities" program

The funding from the Ministry of Education and Science will be used to improve the training process in anatomy and clinical anatomy conducted at the Department of Human Anatomy of the Faculty of Health Sciences. The project manager is an assistant professor from the Department - Małgorzata Witkowska-Zimny, MD, PhD.

The Department of Human Anatomy of the Faculty of Health Sciences (WNoZ) was established in 2021. In the Department the anatomy is taught in the fields of nursing, midwifery, emergency medicine and dietetics, focusing on the specific learning needs of the health science fields of study. The funds received from the ministry will provide support for the development and modification of the educational program based on modern interactive educational techniques, such as in the area of augmented reality (AR) or 3D visualization. They will allow the preparation of teaching materials on anatomy, including digital materials for students for self-study (quizzes, worksheets, sketchnoting, quizlet). They will also enable participation in training in modern education (Agile, eduScrum), conferences on modern trends in teaching medical subjects and study visits to Polish and foreign centers (job shadowing). This will allow the exchange of good practices in teaching anatomy and improve the teaching competence of the Department's academic staff.
The project will last 13 months.

The "Teaching Excellence of Universities" program is implemented with funds from the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development, co-financed by the European Social Fund. Its goal is to improve the institutional capacity of universities and the teaching competence of staff.
