Professor Anastase Shyaka, Ambassador of Rwanda to Poland was hosted by Professor Zbigniew Gaciong, Rector of MUW. The meeting focused on future cooperation in training medical students at the emerging medical university in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. They also discussed the possibility of training doctors from that country by Polish specialists.
Prof. Bozena Kociszewska-Najman, head of the Department of Neonatology and Rare Diseases UCC MUW, also attended the meeting with the diplomat, while the ambassador was accompanied by assistant Alfred Mahirwe. Prof. Kociszewska-Najman talked about the scope and organization of the work of the department, which she heads. They also discussed the important role of neonatology in the health care system and the need to train specialists in this field. The guests visited the Children's Clinical Hospital UCC MUW. The ambassador was impressed by Poland's most modern pediatric hospital.
