Prof. Stefan Tyski, PhD was elected President of the Polish Microbiological Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Mikrobiologów), and Agnieszka E. Laudy, PhD is going to be the secretary of the General Board. They are both employed at the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology of the MUW.
The elections were held during the XXIX National Meeting of the PTM (15-17 September). The candidates were selected by the General Assembly of the Delegates. It is the second term of office of Prof. Stefan Tyski and Agnieszka E. Laud, PhD. They are going to hold the prestigious functions at the PTM until 2006.
Polish Microbiological Society has been active since 1927 and it is the oldest and the largest (with nearly 900 members) association of microbiologists in our country. Its headquarters are located at the CEPT MUW building at ul. Banacha 1 b.
