Paweł Łęgosz, MD, PhD, along with his team from the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Locomotion System UCC MUW, is a pioneer in Poland in the use of 3D implants in pelvic defects after previous operations using endoprostheses. On August 19 last year, he performed another pelvic defect reconstruction surgery using a custom-made implant printed in 3D technology. The procedure was assisted by mixed reality glasses (CarnaLife holo). This makes the Department one of the world leaders in the use of cutting-edge technology in orthopedics. Read more about 3D implant surgery and mixed reality in the article.
