He specializes in the treatment of diseases of hip and knee joints. As one of the first orthopaedists in Poland, he used the most modern anatomical knee joint endoprostheses and custom-made knee implants. He works at the Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Clinic of MUW headed by Artur Stolarczyk PhD. (Międzyleski Specialist Hospital). Our laureate is a participant of many international internships and trainings. He gives speeches at the most important national and international congresses and is the author of many international scientific publications.
This was the first edition of "Medical Event of the Year" - Masovian Aesculapius 2022 competition organised by the Marshal Office of the Masovian Region. The jury took into account the medical successes, scientific work and innovativeness of the candidates for the award. Bartosz Maciąg is the winner in “Rising Hope of Medicine” category.
The awards were granted in two more categories. The title of "Medical Personality of the Year" was awarded to Mirosław Ząbek PhD. from the Mazowiecki Bródnowski Hospital. The "Medical Achievement of the Year" was the reconstruction of postoperative defects using vascular flaps with micro-anastomosis in patients with head and neck malignant tumours performed by doctors from the Mazowiecki Specialist Hospital in Radom.
The winners received the statuettes from Marshal Adam Struzik, Elżbieta Lanc, the member of the Board of the Region, and councillors of the Masovian Region.
