Our specialists appointed as provincial medical consultants

On January 12, Prof. Pawel Łaguna, Dr. Mariola Pietrzak and Dr. Grażyna Bączek received acts of appointment as medical consultants for the Mazovian province. They were presented by Mazovia Province Governor Konstanty Radziwiłł.

Prof. Pawel Łaguna, head of the Chair and Department of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantology UCC MUW, has been appointed provincial consultant in pediatric oncology and hematology; Dr. Mariola Pietrzak from the Department of Development of Nursing, Social and Medical Sciences MUW has been appointed provincial consultant in family nursing; Dr. Grażyna Bączek - acting head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Didactics MUW - will serve another term as provincial consultant in gynecological and obstetrical nursing. 

During the ceremony, the governor thanked Prof. Michal Matysiak from the Department of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantology UCC MUW for serving as provincial consultant in pediatric oncology and hematology from 2014-2022.

The tasks of the consultants include conducting inspections of medical entities in terms of the quality of services and conducted professional education and training. The role of consultants is also to prepare information on resources and staffing needs in their specializations. More than a hundred consultants in various fields of medicine, pharmacy and health care are appointed in the Mazovian province. Their term of office is five years.
