The third edition of the competition under the "Student Scientific Circles Create Innovations" program has been decided. The Minister of Education and Science recognized as many as nine projects from our university. The total amount of funding is PLN 627,790.
This is a great result and the second place on the list of awardees. Only the Silesian Medical University in Katowice has more funded projects (10).
In total, the Minister of Education and Science qualified for funding 174 projects for a total amount of PLN 9,762,184.99. The winners were selected from 308 applications submitted for the competition.
The winning projects from our university
- Development of a method for the isolation of postbiotic metabolites of compounds found in extracts from hops cones (Lupuli flos) using the human intestinal microbiota.
The project was prepared by the Student Scientific Circle Herbarium, funding in the amount of PLN 70 thousand. - Targeted anticancer therapy based on blocking specific microRNAs with Vivo-Morpholinos oligonucleotides administered using a surgical flap in a rat model of breast cancer.
The project was prepared by the Student Scientific Circle of Experimental Medicine, funding in the amount of PLN 70,000. - Techno-economic analysis of selected recombinant protein expression systems.
The project prepared by the Student Scientific Circle "Herba", funding in the amount of PLN 70 thousand. - MicroRNA profiling in precancerous lesions and early laryngeal cancer.
The project prepared by the Student Scientific Circle at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, funding in the amount of PLN 70,000. - Hormonal profile of patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
The project prepared by the Student Scientific Circle at the Department of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Diabetology of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, funding in the amount of PLN 66,570. - Development of a research platform for evaluating the entosis phenomenon as a new prognostic element in cancer.
Project prepared by the Student Scientific Circle HESA, funding in the amount of PLN 55 thousand. - The activity of oligosaccharides isolated from camel, donkey and goat milk in the eradication of biofilms formed by selected Gram-positive granulomas with high pathogenic potential.
The project was prepared by the Student Scientific Circle Agar, funding in the amount of PLN 34,000. - Development of methods for imaging extracellular vesicles using microscopic techniques.
Project prepared by the Student Scientific Circle "QRS Syndrome" at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Physiology, funding in the amount of PLN 58 thousand. - Systemic inflammation associated with excess adipose tissue as a factor in the development of metabolic syndrome in women with obesity.
Project prepared by the Student Scientific Circle of Gynecologic Endocrinology, funding in the amount of PLN 67,370.
