In the second edition of the competition for MUW scientific scholarships, 50 formally correct applications were received from employees of our university. Among the applicants, representatives of medical sciences predominated - there were 36 people. Nine people were representatives of pharmaceutical sciences, and five - of health sciences.
The list of winners of scientific scholarships of the Medical University of Warsaw
The Rector, Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, awarded scientific scholarships in the 2023/2024 academic year from the funds of his own Scholarship Fund to:
• Dr. Monika Gawałko of the 1st Chair and Department of Cardiology UCC MUW;
• Drs. Aleksandra Ślusarczyk of the Chair and Department of General, Oncologic and Functional Urology UCC MUW;
• Dr. Magdalena Bogdan of the Department of Social Medicine and Public Health MUW;
• Dr. Waclawa Hołówko of the Department of General, Transplant and Liver Surgery UCC MUW;
• Dr. Anna Waśkiel-Burnat of the Chair and Department of Dermatology UCC MUW;
• Dr. Agnieszka Bzikowska-Jura of the Department of Medical Biology MUW;
• Dr. Aleksandra Kruk of the Environmental Microbiota Lab.
The next - the third - edition of the competition will take place next year in November. Employees of MUW who meet all of the following criteria may apply for the scholarship: conducting scientific activity and being counted in the N number at MUW; part-time employment at MUW; not holding a doctoral degree or having a doctoral degree from which seven years have not passed; not being over 35 years old; not holding a post-doctoral degree or a professor's title.
