Description

Dr Marta Moldovan-Cywińska will talk about Dr Janusz Korczak first and foremost as a great physician, educator, philosopher of upbringing, writer and pioneer of activities for children's human rights. She will recall excerpts from his professional and creative life as well as diary pages from his literary and educational activities. The bond of her talk on such a distinguished figure is goodness as a value. "The spirit yearns in the cramped cage of the body. People feel and contemplate death from the angle of the end, while it is only a continuation of life, another life," - he wrote. "I am not for them to love and admire me, but for me to act and love. It is not the duty of those around me to help me, but I have a duty to care for the world, for man."
