August 31, 2024 marked the end of the term of the Rector of MUW Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, MD, PhD. From September 1, 2024, until the election of a new rector of MUW for the 2024-2028 term, the duties of the rector will be performed by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Education, Prof. Robert Gałązkowski, MD, PhD.
The symbolic ceremony of handing over the Rector's duties was attended by the Chairman of the University Council, Prof. Alexander Nawrat.
