Prof. Jadwiga Turło, Head of the Chair and Department of Drug Technology and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology MUW, has been elected to the Scientific Excellence Council for the term of 2024-2027. The Council operates under the Law of July 20, 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science. It takes care of the development of scientific staff in accordance with the highest standards of quality of scientific activity required for obtaining scientific degrees, degrees in the arts and the title of professor.
Voting took place from September 1 to 30. The Council members were elected by eligible individuals from all over the country who hold a postdoctoral or professorial degree. The Council for the 2024-2027 term included three representatives from each discipline. Prof. Turło's candidacy was submitted in the discipline of pharmaceutical sciences.
The main tasks of the Scientific Excellence Council include interacting with habilitation entity in proceedings for the conferral of the degree of PhD, conducting proceedings for the conferral of the title of professor, and supervising postdoctoral and habilitation entities.
