Children's University honored our specialists

Developing the creative and intellectual potential of children is the overarching mission of the Children's University, which has been organizing educational courses for students aged 6-16 since 2007. MUW has been one of the official partners of the Children's University for many years, and our lecturers and student organizations are actively involved in its activities. Each year, the Children's University recognizes the best lecturers, lesson authors, philanthropists and volunteers for their work on behalf of children and education. Among this year's winners were Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong and Prof. Maciej Kosieradzki.

Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, Rector of MUW, was awarded the title of "Friend of the Children's University". The Rector was recognized for his above-average involvement in cooperation with the Children's University, his openness and enthusiasm, ideas and his own initiatives, making the University's space available, promoting the Foundation's activities among employees and taking up the challenge of changing education together.

The honorable mention in the "Lecturer of the Year 2022/2023 at the Children's University" category went to Professor Maciej Kosieradzki, Head of the Department of General and Transplant Surgery UCC MUW, for his lecture entitled "How are organs transplanted in Poland?". Professor Kosieradzki was recognized for conveying important content in an interesting way, the ability to focus the attention of young listeners and answering every child's question.
