The fair was held on October 19 at the Teaching Center MUW. It brought together both students freshly admitted to the university, as well as those of older years who have only found their field of interest in the course of their studies and would like to learn more. The fair is organized by the Student Scientific Society MUW. The Student Scientific Society MUW takes care of all student clubs of our university. - We know that there is a need among students to get involved in something more than just mandatory classes - says Magdalena Justyniarska, President of the association. She adds: - We hope that with our fair we will make it easier for students to choose the best club for them.
Wide range of scientific clubs at MUW
At MUW there are possibilities to broaden scientific horizons, as we have as many as 270 scientific clubs. There are 70 more since last year's fair! It's a sea of opportunities to gain additional qualifications. Magdalena Justyniarska: - We are impressed by the scientific activity of our students and the fact that they want to develop themselves scientifically. We also know that MUW's thriving clubs are an important factor in choosing our university.

What was happening at the fair?
More than 60 scientific clubs participated in this year's edition, representing various fields of medicine, pharmacy and health sciences, including neurosurgery, orthopedics, physiology, public health, medical biology and obstetrics. They not only presented their activities, but also how they function "from the inside."
- Our club has been participating in the fair for years - says Maria Lipowska, a member of the Lifestyle Medicine Circle at MUW. - We talk about projects implemented to promote health with an emphasis on a healthy lifestyle full of balance between a healthy diet, physical activity, sleep and interpersonal relationships. This year you could treat yourself to vegan and vegetarian snacks with us.
Maria adds that participating in the fair is an amazing opportunity for her club to get noticed by students. - We hope to meet with many of the fair participants at the Club's first meeting of this academic year.
The opportunity to present one's own achievements is something also highlighted by Dr. Marzena Jaciubek, supervisor of the SKN "Start from scratch", which has also been present at the event for many years. Its members expand their theoretical knowledge in general nursing, but also in cardiology, emergency nursing, anesthesiology and intensive care. They also conduct community-wide preventive and educational campaigns. For the fair, SKN prepared, among other things, an insertion trainer. - Participants of the event were able to insert a short intravenous cannula, commonly known as a venflon, or face the task of drawing blood - says Dr. Marzena Jaciubek. - Participation in the Fair is always a great initiative for us to show that we are and act, but also that nursing is the foundation of health care!
