On June 23 this year, Minister of Education and Science Przemyslaw Czarnek awarded scholarships to the outstanding young scientists. Our researchers made up the third largest group of laureates out of 217 awarded.
Scholarships were awarded to:

- Filip Aleksander Garbicz (PhD student, Postgraduate School of Molecular Medicine);
- Monika Maria Gawałko (PhD student, First Chair and Department of Cardiology);
- Aleksandra Gąsecka-van der Pol, MD, PhD, (First Chair and Department of Cardiology);
- Agnieszka Graczyk-Jarzynka, MD, PhD, (Department of Immunology);
- Maciej Marek Kołodziej, MD, PhD, (Department of Pediatrics);
- Aleksander Jan Kuś, MD, PhD, (Department of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology);
- Paweł Matryba (PhD student, Department of Immunology);
- Zofia Pilch, MD, PhD (Department of Immunology);
- Caren Eyileten Postuła, MD, PhD,(Department of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology);
- Monika Aldona Storman, MD, (PhD student, Department of Diabetology and Internal Medicine);
- Natalia Szejko, MD, PhD, (Department of Medical Ethics and Palliative Medicine);
- Mariusz Tomaniak, MD, PhD, (First Chair and Department of Cardiology);
- Iga Maria Wasilewska (PhD student, Postgraduate School of Molecular Medicine).
The scholarships are awarded to young scientists who conduct innovative, high-quality scientific research and reach impressive scientific achievements of high prestige and international significance. The awarded will receive scholarships from the Minister in the amount of PLN 5,390 per month for up to 3 years.
