The experimental research project of the consortium led by MUW scientists concerning the treatment of this malignant tumor will receive funding from the Medical Research Agency Competition.

Our University received grants from the Ministry of Education and Science for the purchase of equipment to study changes in the skin and a new generation ultrasound machine for volumetric blood flow measurement in the arteries of the central nervous system.

"Your profession is among the most beautiful professions in the world" – said the Rector of MUW Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong to 113 graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery during the traditional capping ceremony. The meeting, held on July 15, 2021, was hosted by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Mariusz Gujski, MD, PhD.

On July 14, 2021, in the Auditorium of the Didactic Center, a ceremony of capping the graduates of the bachelor's degree in nursing was held. The ceremony was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Mariusz Gujski, MD, PhD, and attended by the Rector of the MUW, Professor Zbigniew Gaciong.

On June 23 this year, Minister of Education and Science Przemyslaw Czarnek awarded scholarships to the outstanding young scientists. Our researchers made up the third largest group of laureates out of 217 awarded.

On June 22nd, Prof. Marek Krawczyk received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The former Rector of our University from 2008 to 2016 has thus joined the esteemed faculty of prominent figures from the world of science, art and politics appreciated by the oldest university in Poland. The ceremony, which took place in the Hall of Collegium Novum, was presided over by the Rector of Jagiellonian University, Prof. Jacek Popiel.
