During the nationwide conference "EPE - interdisciplinary aspects of modern medicine in medical theory and practice - Ophthalmology" organized within the framework of the European Educational Program, the surgeries were broadcast live from the Independent Public Clinical Ophthalmology Hospital MUW. They were viewed by 410 ophthalmologists!

A feast for science lovers, who will be able to participate in more than 600 open meetings in over 100 scientific and cultural institutions in Warsaw. This year's festival theme is "We Vaccinate with Science."

The Rector of the MUW prof. Zbigniew Gaciong handed over the diplomas certifying the attainment of the first or subsequent academic degree in the discipline of medical sciences or discipline of pharmaceutical sciences to more than a hundred people. Tuesday's meeting was the first event at our University prepared by the Vice-Rector for Science and Technology Transfer, Professor Piotr Pruszczyk, and the Department for Scientific and Doctoral Student Council.

Two exhibition halls, one of which is arranged like a modern anatomical theater, create a modern educational space in which the Museum of the History of Medicine MUW presents the human anatomy, using, among others, the form of mapping.

Specialists from the 1st Chair and Department of Cardiology of the UCC MUW performed a surgery to implant valves into the vena cava in a patient with severe tricuspid valve insufficiency. This was the first such implantation in Poland.

The department's history and accomplishments were recalled at an anniversary session that opened the September scientific and training conference "From Neurodegeneration to Neuromuscular Diseases."

The latest edition of "The Three University Missions (MosIUR)" rankings has been released. The Medical University of Warsaw was ranked in the eight hundred, thus moving up 100 positions compared to last year. Among the 18 Polish universities included in the ranking, MUW is the only medical university.

The Medical University of Warsaw has received a grant from the National Agency for Academic Exchange within the SPINAKER Program - Intensive International Education Programs.
